Welcome to WizePeeps! We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information from users to provide and improve our services:

a. Information You Provide

• Mandatory Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. These are required to authenticate your identity and enable access to the App.
• Optional Information: You may choose to provide additional details, including your phone number, birthday, gender, and country. These fields are optional and help us personalize your experience.

b. Information Generated Through App Usage

• Progress Data: As you use the App, we collect data related to your in-app progress (e.g., achievements, levels, or other activity metrics). This helps us track your usage and improve your experience.

c. Automatically Collected Information

• We do not collect device-specific data (e.g., device ID, IP address) beyond what is inherently processed by our third-party service providers (see Section 3).

d. Contacts and Friends

• Device contacts (optional): If you choose to use "Find Friends," the App may access contacts from your device (names, email addresses, and/or phone numbers). This requires your explicit permission via your device's contact-access prompt.
• What we do with contacts: We use this information solely to identify which of your contacts already have WizePeeps accounts and to let you send them a friend request.
• Invitations to non-users: If a contact is not on WizePeeps, you may choose to send them an invitation via email or text message. The message is initiated by you; we do not add them to any mailing list.
• What we store: We store friend connections, pending friend requests, and records of invitations you send. We do not store your full address book as a contact list for any other purpose.
• No marketing use: Contact information accessed through this feature is not used for advertising, promotional emails, or any marketing purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• Account Management: To create and manage your account, authenticate your login, and provide access to the App’s features.
• Personalization: To tailor your experience based on optional information you provide (e.g., birthday or country).
• Progress Tracking: To save and display your progress within the App.
• Support: To respond to your inquiries or troubleshoot issues if you contact us.
• Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and enhance the App’s functionality.
• Find Friends & Invitations: To help you connect with people you know who use WizePeeps, and to send one-time email or text invitations to contacts who are not yet on the App — only when you initiate the action.

We do not use your data — including contact information — for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes, except as described in Section 3.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

• Storage: All data, including your account information (name, email, password, and optional fields) and progress data, is stored securely using Google Firebase services:
  • Firebase Authentication: Stores your login credentials (email and encrypted password).
  • Firestore Database: Stores your name, optional fields (phone, birthday, gender, country), progress data, friend connections, and invitation records.
• Security: We rely on Firebase’s built-in security measures, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, to protect your information. However, no system is completely immune to breaches, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
• Retention: We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our systems, subject to Firebase’s data deletion policies.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Contacts and invitations: We do not sell, share, or provide your device contacts or invitation data to third parties for their own purposes. Contact matching and invitation delivery are handled solely to provide the Find Friends feature within the App.
• Service Providers: We use Google Firebase (a third-party service by Google) to store and process your data. Google may process your data according to its own privacy policies (available at Google Privacy Policy).
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Sweet Silver Technologies, our users, or the public.

5. Your Choices and Rights

• Optional Information: You can choose not to provide optional fields (phone, birthday, gender, country) without affecting core App functionality.
• Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@sweetsilver.tech. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed, though some progress data may persist in anonymized form.
• Access and Updates: You can update your account information (e.g., email or optional fields) directly in the App.
• Contact access: Using Find Friends is entirely optional. You can decline contact permission on your device, or revoke it later in your device settings. The App works fully without granting contact access.
• Friend connections: You can remove friends and manage pending invitations within the App at any time.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not specifically designed for or targeted at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information from our systems promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@sweetsilver.tech to request its removal.

7. Third-Party Links

The App does not currently contain links to third-party websites or services beyond Firebase integration. If this changes, we will update this policy accordingly.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at https://www.sweetsilver.tech/privacy-policy.html. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Your continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
